Sodium Batteries
As Sodium-Ion Battery Manufacturer, we offer a range of rechargeable sodium-ion cells tailored for different applications — from backup power to high-capacity storage. Our products leverage the advantages of sodium-ion chemistry: abundant raw materials, cost-effectiveness, good cold-temperature performance, and safer thermal behavior compared to traditional lithium chemistries.
Sodium-ion batteries store and release energy by shuttling sodium ions (Na⁺) between cathode and anode through an electrolyte during charging and discharging. This “rocking-chair” mechanism is similar to lithium-ion systems but uses sodium, which is more abundant and economical. The result is a battery that can provide reliable energy storage with lower material cost and promising safety and environmental profiles.
1. Sodium is widely available and far less expensive than lithium, reducing production cost and supporting long-term supply stability.
2. Sodium-ion chemistry is inherently less prone to thermal runaway; cells maintain stability under varied temperature conditions.
3. Sodium-ion batteries sustain output and reliability even in colder climates, suitable for harsh environment use.
4. Good discharge performance and flexibility to be used in backup systems, storage packs, or high-current demand applications.
5. Using abundant materials and avoiding some of the resource constraints of lithium-based batteries, sodium-ion offers a more sustainable energy storage option.
